We bought this house in the summer of 1986, and have been here since then. Our older son was 2 when we moved in; he was joined 4 years later by another son. Both played Evendale rec sports and attended Princeton from kindergarten (pre-school for the younger one!) through HS graduation. Weve loved entertaining here (the first floor has a circular flow that works nicely for groups (pre-COVID), and after replacing and enlarging our deck in 2007, its been a nice addition to our entertaining landscape. The deck faces east, so avoids the hottest sun of the day, and has an 18 Sunsetter awning with a remote control. We have left about half of our 1.7 acres (our riding mower will also be for sale!) fairly wild, with a couple of paths leading down to a drainage creek, where creeking was a source of great enjoyment for our sons and their friends. As they got older, they enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table which fit easily in the finished basement. In 2018, we did extensive renovations to the house: - exterior painting and repairs (including replacing several sections of stucco board, an entirely new soffit on the south end of the house, and gutter helmet on all gutters) - interior painting of most rooms - complete renovation of both master bath and guest/kids bath (shower/bath tile is travertine) - new carpet upstairs and in family room - refinished hardwood floors in kitchen & entry (living room & dining room are still in great shape) - new drywall in garage In August of this year we replaced our drive entirely (yes, its on at the top of private drive, at the top of a hill, but we can fit up to 7 cars behind the garage, if parked just right!) We share a private drive with 4 other families, where we share expenses for snow removal and de-icing. In normal years, we collect dues of $250/home. About every 10 years, we find we need to do more significant maintenance to the shared drive, and get together to agree on repairs, a contractor, and the appropriate special assessment. That will likely occur in the next 3-4 years. We have really enjoyed our woods, the ease of entertaining and/or hosting overnight guests, and the amenities at the Evendale Recreation Complex. Now were building a patio home on the east side of Cincinnati, and hope to move there by late March/early April. We know theres a family who will enjoy this home as much as our family has!
