The house was built in 1950 as the apparent "show house" and gateway for this neighborhood in Amberley Village. In late 2009 I saved the house from destruction that was put upon it by squatters. (Sad, but true.) Over the next couple of years, virtually every aspect of the house was replaced or improved. This includes, for example, all new electrical, HVAC, plumbing (PEX pipes), gas fireplace, gas outdoor covered grill, windows, woodwork, doors, closets, kitchen, wet bar, bathrooms (2 full and 2 1/2), garage door, back patio, front walk, fence, and landscaping. During the renovation, we opened up the first floor as much as we could while also maintaining the character of the house in general. I look forward to selling my home to someone who will continue to care and maintain the house as the gem of Amberley Village that it is.
